BLIND BARTIMAEUS
As a Christian, when you have vision, no amount of opposition or obstruction can change your mind. Mark 10:46-52

”…As Jesus and his disciples, together with large crowd, where leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘son of David have mercy on me!’, Jesus stopped and said, ‘Call him.’ So the called to the blind man, ‘Cheer up! On your feet! He has calling you’. Mark 10:46-49

Blind Bartimaeus shouted to be heard by Jesus, not by men. This was a shout born of faith which could not stopped by any opposition. That was why the opposition could not stop him. That is why every attempt to stop him proved abortive. What an effort born of faith! What a genuine willingness born of faith!  He was there to see Jesus: he was not there to be seen by men. Blind Bartimaeus shouted as someone who wanted to see Jesus. Anyone can shout. The Bible says he shouted as someone who wanted to see Jesus. I know many people will say: “I cry many times to receive Jesus’ healing, but I don’t get healed.”

A shout born of God, Jesus never ignores. A shout born of God cannot but yield the desired results. A shout born of God cannot be stopped, no matter the degree of opposition. Bartimaeus’ shout was born of faith: it was not Jesus a shout.

”Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!” Mark 10:48

You can see how every attempt to stop the blind man proved abortive-it was because the shout was born of faith. This is different from other shouts for selfish and material reasons, which can be stopped.

Bartimaeus and enough antagonism, enough opposition and enough obstruction to stop him. If you have vision, nothing can stop you from reaching Jesus; nothing can prevent you from reaching your goal. Faith will fill your soul with a strong desire for the things you are praying for, even when the circumstance seems unfavorable.

For example, where there is faith, there will be a strong desire to pray the more, even in the face of difficulties. Consider the case of Paul and Silas; the more they flogged, the stronger their desire was to praise God.

PRAYER POINTS.

Son of David, have mercy on me!
Let your mercy speak for me today!
If today favour you, the rest of your life shall enjoy the dine favour of God.

By the power of God, I command today to favour you – let His mercy speak for you.

If Saul could receive divine favour and later became Paul, there is nothing impossible for Jesus.

Continue to receive divine favour in your business, career, home, family and marital life, in Jesus’ name

“Lord, let Your divine mercy favour me today, in Jesus’ name.

Begin to command the close doors to mercy, to open, in the Jesus’ name.

Begin to command the close doors to breakthrough, to open, in Jesus’ name.
