Following the creative work that was done in the month of June, I want to introduce you now to July, the month of Grace.
“Grace” is the most important concept in the Bible and in our world as Christians.
How can we define grace? Grace is the love of God shown to the unlovely; the strength of God to the weak; the power of God to the undeserving; the peace of God given to the restless; the unmerited favor of God given to the undeserving. Grace focuses more on who God is instead of who we are.
Grace is the eternal love that cares for us so much that it stooped as low as earth, all the way from heaven, just to rescue us from the penalty of sin. Yes, Grace is God reaching downward to a people who are in rebellion against Him, just to show love and care.
We live in a world where you can only enjoy benefits which you have earned and deserved. You cannot drive a car which you cannot afford and in the same context and you cannot work on a post you are not qualified for. That is why everyone wants and needs grace. Because it gives you that very thing you do not deserve! This month, you will be introduced to a world where you won't get what you deserve but what Christ deserves. The Bible says, "The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. The oil of joy for mourning." (Isaiah 61:3)
Even the last verse of the Bible summarizes the message from Genesis to Revelation: “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all” (Revelation 22:21).
